Martinez: We Are Adapting To The Championship

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez told Vital Swansea that he believes that slowly but surely his players are adapting to the rigors of the Championship.

After back to back wins against Preston and Wolverhampton Wanderers the international break could not have come at a worse time for the Spaniard and his ever improving squad. Despite this the man from Balaguer has maintained his players have been working hard on the training pitch to keep up the level of intensity needed in the second tier of British football.

With fellow promoted outfits Nottingham Forest and Doncaster Rovers lying in the relegation places Martinez will take heart that his inexperienced side do not look out of place in their new surroundings despite a slow start to the season that has seen Swansea climb to 8th on goal difference.

Martinez Told Vital Swansea:

'Its just the confidence when you get promoted to a new division we have said all along its through good performances and results. Those two results were against hard opposition Preston have a fantastic record and Wolves who were top of the league and will be there and there about's and could get promoted this season they are two are two very good performances and that shows you the team are getting stronger mentally and slowly we are getting used to the demands of the championship level which is a very good division.'

Martinez On How he keeps his players focused in the international break

"It is easy they are winners and they are great professionals the international break did not come in a good way, we had a bit of momentum and that's a shame we had to stop.We had to turn this into a positive to make sure we are working in certain areas that is going to make us stronger.'
