Gower: 50/50 Chance Of Making Reading Clash

Swansea City have received a injury boost ahead of Saturday's game against Reading with the news that Mark Gower has a 50/50 chance of being available for selection.

In the former Southend United man's best performance yet in a Swansea shirt fears were raised after the London born player pulled up midway through the second half after a challenge on the midfielder left him unable to continue.

Receiving swift treatment from Swansea City physio Richie Evans the winger was helped off the field of play to be replaced by Gorka Pintado. Gower has responded well to treatment to his ankle and his chances of making the trip to the Madejski Stadium have improved.

Martinez Spoke On The Official Site:

'Mark's ankle is very sore but the treatment he received this morning went very well.At the moment he is rated 50-50 for Saturday's trip to Reading, which is a better ratio than we first expected.'

Good to hear that. It would be a shame to lose him right when his form took the upward direction.
