'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jewell: 'Swansea City Are A Good Side'

Derby County boss Paul Jewell said Swansea City are a good side after watching his team draw 1-1 tonight at the Liberty Stadium.

He was right in his other analysis of the game as well, we dominated for large periods of the game but we struggled to create any clear-cut chances and hardly troubled Roy Carroll in goal.

Jewell told BBC Sport:

'It was important to get something out of the game. It showed we are slowly moving in the right direction.

'Swansea are a good side. We couldn't get near them in the first half, but we got a foothold on the game.

'Stephen Pearson's goal was a terrific goal from a great move.

'I thought Swansea played well but, for all the possession they had, they didn't really work (goalkeeper) Roy Carroll.

'To concede the way we did from a corner is frustrating. We switch off at vital times and it ultimately cost us two points tonight.'
