Martinez: We Must Learn From Palace Defeat
Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez said his side must learn from today's 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Warnock's side scored either side of half time to win their first League game of the season.
Watson opened the scoring just before the half hour mark with a long range free-kick from out wide before Carle knocked the stuffing out of the Swans with Palace's second of the game on 66 minutes.
Martinez said there were both positives and negatives to come out of the game:
|'You don't like to lose games and the two goals conceded were sloppy for our standards,' admitted Roberto.|
'Overall there were many positives but there were negatives aswell. The negative in the first-half was that we allowed the goal to really frustrate us and to stop us from doing what we're really good at.
'But all the things that aren't in your control on the day went against us; in the second-half when we had a bit of momentum and opened up Crystal Palace a little bit, (Julian) Speroni reacted with a fantastic world-class save (from Darren Pratley's effort) which was a key moment in the game.
'We're disappointed but we have six games now in a short period of time so we have to make sure we react quickly.'
