Warnock Compliments His Side's Performance

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock was pleased with his side's performance in the 2-0 home win against Swansea City today.

The hosts scored either side of the break to give Palace their first League win of the season.

Swansea City's loss sees them drop 3 places from 7th to 10th.

Warnock told their Official Site:

'It is always nice to win and not just the win but the way we played really. We played some good football and we had a few problems like losing Alan Lee over a week ago.

'Jamie Scowcroft got injured and so did John Oster. We are a little bit thin on the ground at the minute. A few players have picked up some knocks as well.'

'I thought Ifill had his best game in many years for me. The keeper was there when he had to make save. I told Jose to keep hold of his shirt and there is no way he is going to lose that at the moment.

'After his dreadful his three goals he gave away against Doyle last week I thought Matt Lawrence look very assured and good at the back.

'The two full backs are playing well and when they do get past, you have got a goalkeeper like Speroni. It was good today, the fans have been good even through the adversity, but today I thought they deserved that themselves and were really behind the team.'
