Swansea Handed Pintado And Bessone Injury Boost

Roberto Martinez has been handed a injury boost ahead a tricky test away to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Federico Bessone and Gorka Pintado are thought to be near a full recovery after weeks of treatment by medical staff. Bessone has faced the most lengthy spell on the sidelines after fracturing his rib in the 2-0 win over Brentford in the Carling Cup first round. Born in Córdoba Argentinian born defender who holds an Italian passport, was beginning to show the form shown in Spain that led to Roberto Martinez securing his services from Espanyol, before the injury struck .

Whilst striker Gorka Pintado has been suffering with a back problem but has gone onto play a crucual part in the early part of the new season for his new club. Both Pintado and Bessone are in contention for a place in the Spaniards squad to face Palace on the weekend but the former Gimnàstic de Tarragona defender could yet still miss out.

Martinez told The SWEP:

"Both players have joined the group this week.Gorka should be available for the bench at least and Fede could be in contention if he performs well in training.'

Swansea Reserves lost 3-1 to Salisbury last night..
