Welsh U-21's Top Group In Euro Qualifiers

Bryan Flynn's Welsh U-21 Squad have put one foot in the Under-21's European Championships in Sweden following a brilliant 3-0 win over one of the group favourites Romania in Lasi.

Goals from Reading's Simon Church, Middlesbrough's Rhys Williams and Crystal Palace defender Rhys Wiggins saw Wales top group. The evening went from bad to worse for Romania as France who were in third place in group 10 won 1-0 over lowly Bosnia And Herzegovina . It was enough to leapfrog Romania and denied Emil Săndoi's side a place in the play offs. Two Swansea City youngsters Joe Allen and the ever improving Shaun McDonald were in Flynn's squad for the crunch game McDonald was handed a starting place whilst Allen did not feature in the 3-0 win.
