67% Think We Can Push For A Play-Off Place

Swansea City fans have been happy with our start to the season, and in a recent poll 67% of our readers voted we can push for a play-off place this season.

With 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, Martinez's side currently sit one place below the play-off zone in 7th, 5 places above rivals Cardiff City.

I'm sure the board, the manager and the fans would all be happy just to comfortably avoid a relegation battle this season but a mid-table position is certainly within our capabilities.

There's 42 games left this year and it's hard to judge where we are yet in relation to the other teams, but consistency and not dropping points will be vital to doing well this season.

A fine example of what could be the difference between 6th place and a mid-table place was last Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday. In a game in which we dominated for most of the game, we only managed a point whereas we should have taken all 3, which would have put us 4th in the Championship.

In our recent site poll, 67% of our visitors voted we are capable of making the play-offs this season, while 25% were unsure. Only 8% voted we can't reach the top 6 this year.

In our new poll, we'd like to know what you think the score will be in 9 days time when we travel to Crystal Palace. Will we keep Warnock's side waiting for their first win of the season? Can we keep our unbeaten run going?

It's easy to vote yes we can after 4 games and being 7th but there's a long way to go yet. I think we're capable but we must stop dropping points like we did last weekend. a mid-table would be excellent for us.

yeah seeing as we're 7th at the moment, i'll just be happy for a decent season and finish around mid-table. it would be frustrating to stay up here all year around the play-offs and not get a place though.

i would settle for mid table, but it would not be swansea if we were not involved in something going into the last couple of games, be it promotion, play-offs or relegation!!
