Morgan: Cardiff Game Planned For Maximum Safety

Morgan: Cardiff Game Planned For Maximum Safety

Swansea City Director David Morgan has ensured fans that the club will do everything to ensure safety for all during the Carling Cup game at home to Cardiff City.

It's the first real competitive game between the fierce rivals in 9 years and it's a match-up with an infamous reputation.

Families and pensioners in particular will feel it might be a game to avoid this season with the violence the match has attracted in the past, but Morgan insists that trouble will be avoided thanks to good planning beforehand:

'Everything is being done behind the scenes to make sure nothing goes wrong.'

'Families should not be worried about this fixture.'

'People need to realise that things will be very well planned.'

Sky Sports will be showing the match live, it kicks off at 7:45pm on Tuesday 22nd September.

i think that the fans have to take some responsibility aswell, try and make it a good advert for our club. far too optimistic i know! but if the police get it right then hopefully we will be sitting pretty in the next round with the papers citing our fantastic football instead of mindless fans
