Swansea Duo Start For Wales

Swansea City duo Shaun MacDonald and Ashley Williams both started for Wales tonight.

Ashley Williams started for the senior side as Wales hosted Georgia in a friendly at the Liberty Stadium while MacDonald played for Flynn's under-21 side.

John Toshack's side got off to a good start as Jason Koumas opened the scoring for us after 16 minutes.

Kenia equalised for Georgia after 66 minutes and then got the winner in injury time after a defensive error. A bouncing ball wasn't dealt with and Gotsiridze headed past goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.

Owain Tudur-Jones and Matty Collins (pictured) were also amongst the substitutes but not did feature during game.

Shaun MacDonald started for Wales under-21s as they lost their Euro 2009 qualifier against Romania 1-0. They need a point against them when they meet next to qualify.

Shame neither player came off the bench. Neither Ashley or Shaun did brilliantly well.
