Reserves Get Off To Bad Start Against Cheltenham

Colin Pascoe's Reserve side got off to a bad start in their Football Combination season with a 4-0 thrashing at Cheltenham.

The home side were 3-0 up at the break, with goals from Aaron Ledgister (2) and Alistair John.

If that wasn't bad enough, The Robins then scored a 4th with 11 minutes remaining as Albert Serran put the ball into his own net.

The scoreline was even more disappointing as Pascoe's Swansea City reserve side featured 6 senior players. They were: Kristian O'Leary, Alan Tate (captain), Andrea Orlandi, Joe Allen, Albert Serran and Chad Bond.

Team Line-ups:

Cheltenham:
Scott Brown, Andy Gallinagh, Josh Quaynor, Ben Gill, Andy Nicholas, Lee Ridley (C), Alistair John (Josh Emery, 71'), Ryan Burge (Dean Maynard, 85'), Trevor Benjamin, Aaron Ledgister, Marley Watkins.

Subs Not Used: Joe Perry (GK), Jack Durrant, Jake Lee.

Swansea: Ben Hopkins, Alan Tate (C), Albert Serran, Jamie Grimes, Daniel Sheehan, Casey Thomas (Kieran Howard, 71'), Kristian O'Leary, Joe Allen, Andrea Orlandi, Matthew Wright, Chad Bond (Jazz Richards, 46').

Subs Not Used: Tony Pennock (GK), Joe Walsh, Ben Adelsbury, Kieran Howard.

Referee: W Barratt

Kristian O'Leary, Alan Tate (captain), Andrea Orlandi, Joe Allen, Albert Serran and Chad Bond. You are having a giraffe. That is 3 senior players plus our future youth team coach (KO'L) and two who are struggling. I for one would not call Chad Bond a senior squad member. Still disappointing though.

they're all listed as senior players and all have shirt numbers.

we should not be beaten like that, especially with a fairly strong side out like that.

Very true KevinE, for how much longer? Will be surprised if KO'L is still here come transfer deadline day.
