Martinez Delighted With Swansea City's 3-1 Win

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez was delighted with his side's performance in the 3-1 win over Forest today.

We bounced back in superb fashion following last week's disappointing 2-0 defeat at Charlton last week.

Nottingham Forest arrived at the Liberty Stadium on the back of a well-earned 0-0 draw at home to Reading.

Leon Britton opened the scoring for us after 7 minutes before Forest struck back with 10 minutes remaining in the first half.

Bodde regained the lead from the penalty spot, slotting home the rebound after his shot was saved. Pintado came on from the bench to round off the win and to score on his debut.

It was a dominant performance from the Swans, especially in the first half as Forest struggled to get a look in early on.

Martinez told the Evening Post:

'I'm very pleased with the performance,'

'We have taken things a step forward from where we left off at Charlton and, while there are still many areas where we can improve, we did play some fantastic football.

'We dominated the first half hour especially, and the biggest disappointment was that we didn't make that count with more than one goal.

'That meant we had to go and win the game in the second half and thankfully we managed that.'
