52% Predicted An Opening Day Win

52% Predicted An Opening Day Win

Swansea City fans were confident of a win today as we began our new season in the Championship at the Valley.

52% of our readers predicted an away win against Charlton but we lost 2-0.

3,225 Jacks travelled East and gave Martinez's team some excellent vocal support. Despite the result, the performance quality was up there to give us some confidence that it could well be a decent season for us this year.

20% got the score correct, predicting a defeat. 28% of our readers predicted a draw.

In our new poll, we want to know if you think we'll recover after today. Will we reverse the result next Saturday against Nottingham Forest or will things go from bad to worse?

Vote now on the right hand side.

Can you think of a better poll to ask our readers? If so, send it in on this page

'Just to congratulate you on your teams performance today. Thought you looked good 2nd half especially, your following was 2nd to none. Loudest away support at the valley for a long time. Good luck for the rest of the season.'

I thought we'd win today. I thought we'd surprise Charlton enough to sneak a win.

I'd like to see the new signings feature more and when all of our strikers are fit I think we'll be fine and quickly start to put points on the board.
