Police Warn Fans Without Tickets Not To Travel

South Wales Police have sent a warning to fans without tickets for the clubs first game back in the 2nd tier of British football against Charlton not to travel to London in the hope of picking one up at The Valley

In a crackdown against potential violence and ticket problems at the ground, The Metropolitan Police service working in partnership with their Welsh counterparts have urged fans to stay away. However the police have insisted they want all Swansea fans to have a safe and enjoyable trip. Club officials have also been quick to point out that all 3,300 tickets have been sold and there are no places available on official coaches which sold out early this week.

Fans traveling in the extensive underground train network have been advised there will be no alcohol allowed on Greater London tube trains since the new legislation banning the consumption of alcohol on the Capital's rail system. Supporters independently traveling to the game should exit Junction two of the M25.

Acting Chief Superintendent Julian Williams Told The SWEP:

"We want all the Swansea fans to have an enjoyable day out. We have been working hard to ensure that this will be the case. I would strongly urge any fans intending to travel without tickets not to do so, as all the away tickets have been sold."

Vital Swansea will be running a match updates service with a chat room so don't hesitate to come and join in.

Waste of time going up if you don't have a ticket.

Charlton should have released more tickets

They've given us the whole of the South Stand. In order to get more tickets, we would have taken ST holders' seats.
