Opposition Focus: Nottingham Forest

As Roberto Martinez prepares for a tough season ahead in the Coca Cola Championship we will at Vital Swansea turn our attentions to our new opposition. Today is the turn or Nottingham Forest.

1) Name?

Guinless

2) How long have you been supporting your club?

As long as... but remember going to games with my father around the late 60's, early 70's.

3) How do you rate your chances this season?

Speaking personally, I think that with the signings we've made we should achieve a top half finish. Just outside the playoffs would be success in my book, after what we've been through. Anything better would be a massive bonus. Hopefully we've brought in enough to avoid a relegation battle.

4) What do you think of Swansea City can they cause an upset?

You've lost some important players and although Martinez has made some decent replacements, you don't look as good as the best side in League 1 that you were last year. The one thing you do have is a very shrewd manager. If he gets some cash to spend in January, then who knows? You shouldn't be struggling though.

5) Who do you think is your clubs and Swansea's biggest threat?

Birmingham will be the stand out team IMO. All the rest will be fighting for 2nd. Anyone can beat anyone in that division on their day.

6) What places can you recommend visiting fans go to i.e. pubs, hotels and places to visit?

Larwood and Voce is a pub nearest the ground that lets away fans in. Hooters near the train station caters for away fans also. Both places do decent food. Jurys Inn is reasonably priced for accomodation and is next to Hooters.

7) Any other thoughts?

Stay seated. Our stewards are notoriously moody. Good luck for the coming season.

Over the course of the week we will be giving you more insights into our new competition tomorrow is the turn of Charlton Athletic.

I think Forest will do quite well, they should with the squad they have, i won't be too disappointed if we finish near them as they should be in the top half.
KevinE
they have good wingers in anderson and mcindoe, they'll trouble full backs and earnshaw should fire the goals in for them, but will calderwood get them playing?
GThomas
Calderwood isn't the best of managers but they have a good squad. They should do well.
