New Swansea City Squad Numbers Revealed

New Swansea City Squad Numbers Revealed

Swansea City have released the new squad numbers for the 2008/2009 season.

Changes this year include Dorus De Vries who takes the number 1 jersey, Marcos Painter takes Austin's number 3 and £400,000 signing Ashley Williams is number 2 in place of Kevin Amankwaah.

Replacing the number 11 shirt, which has seen bad luck over recent years, is former Southend midfielder Mark Gower. Previous owners include Adrian Forbes and Rory Fallon.

Febian Brandy returned on a 6-month loan from Premiership title winners Manchester United and will wear the number 12 jersey, while Pintado takes over Andy Robinson's 18.
