Slade Delighted By Way Return

Yeovil Town Manager Russell Slade has expressed his delight by the return of Darren Way to Huish Park.

Slade has been a long term admirer of Way's qualities on and off the field of play and it was no secret he wanted to bring the firm fans favourite back to Somerset. It was after the midfielder's loan spell with the Glovers last season that promoted a fresh bid to re sign the player Yeovil fans call "The Weasel." In an interview with BBC Somerset following his loan stint Way outlined his desire to move back to the league one outfit.

After being sidelined for a vast majority of his Swansea career the former Norwich trainee failed to break into the first team. With the prospect of facing more time on the sidelines Way has opted for first team football . His new boss Russell Slade has indicated that he feels the midfielder is the cog in the Yeovil Town machine and believes his influence will be crucial in guiding the up and coming talent at Huish Parl.

Slade Spoke On Yeovil's Official Site:

'Bringing Darren Way back to Yeovil Town will prove to be one of the most significant signings in the club's history in my opinion. He will give us a real heartbeat in the midfield and his influence on and off the field will be really beneficial to everyone at the club particularly, the younger players"

Tickets for Kristian O Leary's testimonial game against West Brom are on sale from the ticket office.
