Way On Verge Of Yeovil Switch

Darren Way is set to end his Swansea City career to resign for Yeovil Town.

Way who arrived in January 2006 for a fee of £150,000 from the Glovers but has failed to hold down a first team place due to a catalogue of injuries that saw him miss a years football.

The player looked to have briefly resurrected his career with Swansea City after he came through a 5-1 loss in the reserves to Bristol Rovers on February 13th. It was to little to late for the former Norwich trainee and found competition for his place fierce. So much so he returned to Somerset in the hunt for first team action with Yeovil and whilst with the Huish Park club Manager Russell Slade did not hide his admiration of the midfielder and signalled his interest in resigning Way from Swansea.

Martinez Told The SWEP:

"We have had a lot of interest in Darren. He is a high-profile player in League One and there are a few clubs who have been asking about him. The one we have got closest with is Yeovil, but as yet nothing has been concluded."

Tickets for Kristian O Leary's testimonial game against premiership new boys West Bromwich Albion will be on sale from Monday. Only the West and East stands will be open which means Season Ticket holders are NOT guaranteed their seats.
