Bodde Slams Swansea Over Transfer

Swansea City's want away midfielder has sent out his clearest message yet that he wants a move to Derby County.

Swansea City and Derby County have been at loggerheads over the fee for the Delft born player for a large part of the summer. However Bodde has attracted interest from West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough but the Pride Park outfit are the only club to put in a firm bid for the player.

Bids of £500,000 and £750,000 were turned down by Swans chairman Huw Jenkins who declared the offers "laughable." Not deterred from making a fresh third bid , Derby have put a deal worth up to the £2 million evaluation put on Bodde. This bid has been met with silence as Jenkins has confirmed that the club will not be rushed into making decision over Bodde's future and is under contract with Swansea City.

This however has angered the Dutchman who has urged the club to be fair and allow him to move on. Currently in Swansea participating in pre season preparations has openly declared he believes Derby are his best chance of securing a call up to the Dutch national side.

Bodde Told Sky Sports:

"It is stressing me out, I am waiting but this has been going on since the start of my holidays some seven or eight weeks ago.I am at Swansea now, but my heart and my head are not - at times I am not sure what I will do, but my family is my main focus. I never wanted to leave with a bad taste, but the way things have gone is not my fault, it was a hard decision to decide to leave, as it was when I left Holland to come to Swansea."

"It is normal some people may think this is all about me but it isn't because Swansea are the ones who need to sort this out - they need to be fair. I came here to be a success and I have been helping them to the Championship, but I have ambitions. I want to be in the Premier League and with Derby next year I think I will be and then, I would love the chance to push for the national side.I want to play for Derby and really hope that happens soon so I can begin training with them ready for the new season,"

Swansea City have officially confirmed the capture of Albert Serran from Espanyol on a long term performance related deal.

Martinez has said himself that he only wants players who are 100% commited. Bodde is clear where he wants to go. He gave us an awesome season last year and we'll make money on him si he's gotta go now. I am a bit worried about us in the centre of the park for next season now though!! I dont think Pratley can hack it in the championship controlling the midfield. I think Britton will have to be our midfield man, i have faith in him. Lets hope we use the 2 million (minus a million going to his old club) to bring in a martinez style replacement. I hope Bodde goes to Derby and we finish above them in the league!!

Let him go and make the mistake he has his heart set on, i'm pretty confident Derby won't go straight back up

You dont want player that are not commited do you, so it is best to let him join us, but you only want him to go for a price that you want. It will be a tough season for us, but you have to admit that Derby is a step forward for him, but Middlesbrough or West Brom would be even more of one.

What a shame. he needs to go now. Hopefully he'll do his knee in and miss most of the season. Ungrateful git!

But surely he understands we want to get a decent fee for him? In any transfer the clubs have to match the valuation fee in order to talk to the player. He really should be setting his sights with a move to Boro or WBA.

Derby's signings havent impressed me at all, they are not going up. hope Bodde goes sooner rather than later, the lads lost his dignity and his respect and will only be half the player he was now anyway. Good Ridense and i hope also hope we finish above him if he's at Derby. Let's use the money to bring in a new solid and COMMITED player with a shred of loyalty.
