Martinez Confirms Serran Capture

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has officially confirmed the capture of Espanyol defender Albert Serran for a fee of £80,000.

After passing a medical this morning with club doctors the Barcelona born player has put pen to paper on a long term performance related contract with the Liberty Stadium club.

Serran was surplus to requirements following Tintín Márquez appointment to the managerial post at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys and Martinez was quick to secure the highly regarded 24 year old despite competition from clubs in La Liga.
