Duffy Set To Sign For Bristol Rovers

Out of favour striker Darryl Duffy is set to make his 100,000 move from Swansea City to Bristol Rovers within the next week.

Duffy made 26 first team appearances last season for the Liberty Stadium club but only managed to find the back of the net 3 times in that period in both the reserve and first team. Arriving at the club with great expectations last summer after a long drawn out transfer saga that gripped Swansea City fans, Duffy has failed to show the form seen in his successful loan spell at the end of the 2006/07 season.

Clubs have shown interest in signing the Scot but Bristol Rovers have moved quickly to add the former Hull City player to their ranks before pre season training starts in earnest on Thursday.

Trollope Told The Bristol Evening Post:

''We are hoping to tie things up in the next few days. There are still a few details to conclude, but things are looking good."

Season Tickets are available for collection from the ticket office.

I think it's the right move for him. It's amazing how much things changed between his loan spell with us and when we signed him. He was like a different player between those two spells. Wish him all the best though

definitely the best move for him, its a big shame things haven't worked out for him here, he's just not suited to our style of play.

I also agree. Its a good move for him to kick start his career. We need someone in to replace him now.

Good Luck to Duffy, who could now have a good season if he has the right partner. When on loan he partnered Trundle and this partnership was on the same wavelength.
