Duffy On Brink Of Bristol Rovers Move

Bristol Rovers are on the verge of completing a deal to sign out of favour striker Darryl Duffy.

Rovers are expected to shell out £100,000 for the striker who only scored three times last season. Duffy has failed to break into the first team last term with Jason Scotland , Guillem Bauza and Fabien Brandy sharing all the plaudits. It has been widely thought that Gas manager Paul Trollope has been a long term admirer of the former Hull City player.

Darryl Duffy is a good player and would be a good signing for Bristol City. He is probably not good enough for the Championship, but could do well in League One.

I liked his style of play and diagonal runs that he made, but the midfield never passed the ball. His best performances were with Trundle as both seemed to be on the same wavelength.
