Derby Ready To Shell Out £2 Million For Bodde
Reports have suggested that Derby County are ready to match Swansea City's evaluation of Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde
The Liberty Stadium outfit had put a £2 million price tag on the player which has led to a war of words between the two clubs over the last few days. Bodde himself is reported to have pleaded to club officials in South Walaes to come to an agreement so he would be clear to join the Pride Park outfit.
Bodde told Sky Sports:
|"I have loved my time with Swansea and will forever be grateful for them for giving me my break in British football.|
But I have to think about my career and the prospect of joining a club like Derby County, is one I just cannot ignore.
I really want Swansea to do a deal with Derby and give me the chance of talking to them."
Bids of £500,000 and £750,000 have been quickly rejected by Swansea City which had led Chairman Huw Jenkins to call the bids "laughable."
