3 or 4 More Signings On Their Way

3 or 4 More Signings On Their Way

Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez says there could be 3 or 4 new arrivals within the next 2 weeks.

So far, the Spaniard has made Ashley Williams' loan move permanent for £400,000, and has signed Spanish duo Gorka Pintado (permenant, 4 year deal) and Jordi Gomez on loan from Espanyol.

Following those three could be another Espanyol player, Alberto Serran, and reports have been made on their official website linking him with a move to South Wales.

Martinez speaks very highly of the player and he said:

'He is a defender that made his debut in La Liga this season and has played at international level with Spain,'

'We have watched him a few times, he has a huge reputation and it doesn't go further than that.'

'Over the next few days, there's going to be more [signings].

'We have still got, out of our target, another three or four positions that we need to finalise.'

Martinez still seems to be on the lookout for extra defenders for his squad. With the departure of Kevin Austin, the Swans boss will need another left back to add extra cover for Marcos Painter.

Alberto Serran is a 23 year-old and made his debut last season in La Liga for Espanyol's first team.

A loan move seems the most likely in order to give the player some much needed experience.

We do need a couple more defenders plus another midfielder and a reserve keeper. 4 is the minimum i think!
