Spanish Duo Set To Undergo Medicals At Swansea

Gorka Pintado and Jordi Gomez will take another step closer to a move to The Liberty Stadium as the duo are expected to undergo a medical at Swansea City within the next 72 hours.

Accompanied by Roberto Martinez both players will arrive in the city this evening.

Pintado's signature will come at a price with the fee thought to be in the region of €200,000 will be payable to the Nuevo Los Cármenes based outfit for Pintado's services. The 30 year-old has one year left on his current deal but has declared a huge interest in securing the move to British football declaring it "the deal of my life."

Granada CF manager Óscar Cano had confirmed yesterday that the player would leave the Spanish club and it firmly seems that the striker is a step closer to a dream move into the second teir of the British game.

Whilst Gomez who signed a new contract with Espanyol just this week will sign a season long loan agreement with Swansea

i am feed up of these part time swansea supporters, criticising martinez and the board. The problem is these supporters were not around in 1998-2002 when the team was playin in front of 2,000. Sayin that martinez should spend this and that. We were 91st out 92 teams in 2001. and now we are in the top 35 clubs in the UK. I would rather have the hardcore 8,000 or so in the stadium, rather havin these pretend clowns who think they know everything. I watched a number of games in the championship last year including the playoff final, and nothing impressed me. They are all talk these big teams.
