Pintado On The Verge Of Signing For €200,000

Pintado On The Verge Of Signing For €200,000

Swansea City look set to sign Granada CF striker Gorka Pintado for €200,000.

There have been on-going reports recently linking the striker with a move to South Wales but our original €60,000 bid was rejected.

The Spanish club said the Swans had to significantly up this bid in order to secure his services.

The 30 year-old has one year left on his current deal but he seems very keen in playing in the English Football League with Swansea.

New reports today say Granada CF manager Óscar Cano has confirmed Pintado has joined us for a €200,000 fee.

Despite the news from Spain, the club has yet to confirm any news of his signing, nor that of Jordi Gomez's loan to us.

Gomez has said himself that the loan move is ''positive for me'' but the club say they have yet to make any Spanish signings this Summer. Gomez is currently playing for Espanyol B.

Is that £200,000 British pounds or 200,000 euros? Either one isn't a bad price?
