Bauza Signs New Long Term Deal

Guillem Bauza has become the latest player to sign on for next seasons Championship campaign after signing a long term contract with the club that will see him stay at The Liberty Stadium until 2010.

Since his arrival on British shores last summer the former Espanyol B player has defied the early criticism piled upon him and scored vital goals in Swansea City's push for promotion. This was no more so evident as the Spaniard grabbed a brace in the 2-1 win over Gillingham that would see the club secure promotion with games in hand.

Growing in stature the 23 year old made 35 appearances and scored 11 goals in all competitions last term and this could provide the stepping stone to greater things according to his manager Roberto Martinez.

Martinez Told the BBC:

"I think everyone has been pleased to see his progress from July through to May before returning to Spain a hero in the eyes of Swans fans.Everyone at the club is delighted to see him commit himself to the club for a longer spell. He's enjoying his football and I'm sure we will also all enjoy what he produces next season."

Bussy has had a huge impact in the British game in a short period of time He is still a very young, but talented striker who I am sure will continue to blossom on the Championship stage."

Meanwhile Owain Tudur Jones is a doubt to face The Netherlands in Rotterdam on Sunday after sustaining an ankle injury in the 1-0 win over Iceland.
