Swansea Linked With Southend's Gower

Swansea City are apparently tracking Southend United midfielder Mark Gower.

Vital Southend are reporting that the Swans hoping to sign him and make him an integral part of the squad next season in the Championship.

A large signing on fee is also thought to be included in the deal in order to tempt Gower away from Roots Hall.

He was an active member of the Shrimpers' first team last season, playing 35 games and scoring 9 goals.

The majority of Southend fans seem to think he is one of their better players and most would be disappointed to see him leave.

It seems like a move the Swans could pull off if they really want to make a move for him. A move up to a higher league with a larger wage as well could well attract him to sign.
