Swans Reject £500,000 Derby Bid For Bodde

Swans Reject £500,000 Derby Bid For Bodde

Swansea City have rejected a £500,000 bid from Derby County for Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde, according to The Derbyshire Evening Telegraph.

Signed from Ado Denn Hagg in the summer for a fee of £85,000 the midfield maestro has been at the heart of the push for promotion to the championship and has earned rave reviews this season. It has not been plain sailing for the midfielder this season with a groin injury that has seen the Delft born player miss the run into the end of the season .

Bodde has made 34 appearances this season scoring 8 goals to add to the already impressive club goal tally.

Roberto Martinez has indicated he wants to keep the current squad together as much as possible but with such a lucrative bid on the table and with a possibility of further bids by Paul Jewell as he prepares for life in the Championship, it may prove to bigger lure for the club to ignore.

Big money and a huge profit. If the offers get bigger it'l be a real struggle to keep this squad together. Why don't Derby F*CK OFF and go scout their own players instead of trying to nick ours.
