Brandy: 'Sir Alex Recommended Swansea'

On loan Manchester United striker Febian Brandy today revealed that Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson recommended a loan move to the Swans.

He had offers from Norwich and a few Dutch clubs but the Scotsman said a move to the Liberty Stadium was the best move.

He rounded off his loan spell with a goal on the final day of the season, giving us a 1-0 win away at Brighton.

It's unknown whether he'll still be here next season, but Martinez is apparently trying to extend his stay in South Wales.

Febian Brandy seems to have enjoyed his time with Swansea and said:

"I had an offer to go on loan to Norwich, a Dutch club and a few others, but Sir Alex recommended Swansea,"

"I'm glad he did because I really enjoyed it there.

"It was a very good experience for me. I didn't know anything about the club before I joined but the more time I spent there I realised what a good club it was, what a good team it was and what good football they played.

"And it was great to win the title with them but to be honest I didn't play as many games as I would have liked."

Roberto Martinez often alternated between Brandy and Bauza to partner Jason Scotland up front. Brandy made just 2 starts however and 17 appearances from the bench, scoring 3 goals.

Would you like to see Brandy extend his loan stay with us?

He'll be a good impact player so i'd be happy if the young lad stayed.
