Sign Or Leave Robinson, Says Martinez

Sign Or Leave Robinson, Says Martinez

According to the Western Mail, Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez has told Andy Robinson to sign up or leave this Summer.

The midfielder's contract expires next month but talks over a new deal have stalled, putting Robinson's future at the club firmly in doubt.

Martinez has implemented a wage structure at the club and the deal on offer will not be improved.

Therefore it's simple, sign the contract on offer or move on.

Roberto won't be encouraged by Robinson's lack of enthusiasm in extending his stay with us although his agent Neil Sang is known for trying to get the absolute best deals for his players.

It was a similar situation a few years ago when Robinson took weeks to sign a new deal after offers and interest was coming in for him for him from Championship clubs.

Other players offered deals but yet to put pen to paper are Dennis Lawrence, Garry Monk, Kevin Austin and Kristian O'Leary.

Darryl Duffy's future looks to be elsewhere and so to does Steven Watt's.

Tom Butler, Owain Tudur-Jones, Alan Tate and Shaun MacDonald have signed new deals.

Do you want Andy Robinson to stay with the Swans? Or do you we need extra width on the left side?

Get rid, we need the players to want to play for us, and not hold the club to ransom

Perhaps he needs new challenges and I think he will find these elsewhere. We will need pace in the Championship and Butler has more than him.

I can't do else but to stand on Roberto's side. Take it or leave is the right attitude in this moment.

Its a good attitude for the manager to have. Would love him to stay but if he feels he has become too big for the club then let him move on. We can then bring someone else in.

well done Roberto for staying strong would be a shame to see him go but if he wants to turn down what i think is a prfectly good offer then so be it sell him to a league 1 side that will teach him
