Swans Clinch Youth Cup With Cardiff Win

Swansea City won the FAW Youth Cup with a 1-0 win over rivals Cardiff City.

Kieron Howard was the match winner after pressuring the keeper as he tried to punch the ball clear. He nodded the ball home with just a minute remaining to avoid extra time.

It was an excellent win for under-19 side, especially considering we had a few first teamers missing including captain Dion Chambers and top scorer Oliver Hewitt-Fisher.

The Swans created the better chances in the second half but we struggled to break the deadlock until the 89th minute. The cardiff keeper was unable to deal with a cross and Howard was there to net from close range.

It's an excellent achievement for the club and the squad and hopefully that's a sign of things to come from the young players at Swansea City.

A real good result cos the scum always go on about having the best youngsters in Wales. Well they can stick that opinion now. In their own back yard as well.
