86% Predicted Win At Gillingham

86% Predicted Win At Gillingham

In our recent site poll, 86% of our readers voted that we'd win at Gillingham and clinch promotion to the Championship.

Things didn't start off the way we would have liked though, as the home side broke the deadlock midway through the first half.

Former trialist Dennis Oli grabbed the opener, turning away from Lawrence, he fired a low shot past De Vries and into the bottom corner.

Before the break though, we made a superb and yet surprising come back with 2 goals in as many minutes - both scored by Guillem Bauza.

Both goals involved Andy Robinson, the first goal saw his shot parried by the goalkeeper, and Bauza was there to net the rebound.

The second saw the Spanish striker unmarked to score, drilling another low show past the goalkeeper.

Martinez's side managed to hang on in the second half but we had plenty of defending to do throughout.

Our new poll asks for your player of the year vote.
