'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rob Brydon Joins 1912 Foundation

Welsh actor and comedian Rob Brydon has joined the club's 1912 foundation.

The foundation is an exclusive members' club which aims to give fans a closer link to Swansea City FC.

It also aims to raise money in order to improve the youth development, training ground facilities and young players.

Rob Brydon told the The Swan:

'I would marvel at the sheer scale and ambition of their make up,'' he adds. 'Colours so bright that if they lay on their backs you could land a helicopter.''

'To this day I just don't get it. One group of grown men talking loudly and in unison at another group of grown men on the opposite side of a field. It just seems silly.

'I am not a chanter. I never have been and I think I can say without fear of successful contradiction that I never will be.

'If you yourself are a chanter and are looking forward to a bit of chanting against Bristol Rovers, then I do apologise and hope that I haven't made you feel self conscious.''
