Martinez: Strikers To Take Pens
Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez says it'll be strikers Jason Scotland and Guillem Bauza taking the penalties from now on.

Roberto Martinez told the Evening Post:
| 'We can't score penalties and we can't stop them,' boss Roberto Martinez conceded, 'and I think it's quite clear that from now on, Jason is our penalty-taker with Bussy (Guillem Bauza) backing him up. 'I think it will be a long time before Leon, Robbo or Prats step up to the spot.' 'You should score 95 per cent of penalties, At the moment, our return is quite low.' Sometimes there can be a bit of a cloud when a couple are missed,' 'We have competitions in training and everybody scores, but there is extra pressure out on the pitch, especially after some misses. 'Most teams jump around when they get a penalty, but in our dressing room we'll be relieved not to get one soon.' |

When you take penalties, you hope that the goalie does not guess the right way. I have said in another article that I would have given the spot kick to Bauza against Walsall. Pratley of his own choice came up to take on the responsibility of taking the kick.

Yeah I wanted Bauza to take it as well. Place it well in the corner with a bit of pace and you can't go wrong.

i'd like to see de vries get close to saving a penalty as well how many times has he dived the wrong way?

I wanted Bauza to step up, i'm glad RM has brought this rule in, we need to score more, one of these days it could be the difference in us getting a point or 3!
