De Vries: We'll Bounce Back

Swansea City goalkeeper Dorus De Vries says the team will be looking to put things right tonight against Walsall after Saturday's disappointing draw away at Crewe.

Martinez's side threw away a 2-goal lead after Scotland and an own goal put us in front.

Two goals in the last 8 minutes gave Crewe a point in a game in which Swansea should have had won early in the second half.

However, we were punished for not killing the game off, and De Vries told the Evening Post:

'When you go 2-0 up, you think normally that you should bury this one,'

'You think that should be job done, and it's hard to believe that we've ended up with only a point because it should have been all three.

'We've learned harsh lessons already this season, like at Swindon where we lost two points in the last couple of minutes.

'We shouldn't have given two goals away against a team like Crewe, or at least not as easily as we did.

'We should be stronger in defence and be more ruthless, which means getting the ball up the pitch and keeping it there to use up some time.

'We also needed a third goal to finish them off. We talked about that at half-time, but we didn't create the chances to score it and we got punished in the end.'

'And we'll keep our heads up for a big game against Walsall where we'll look to put things right. We're looking forward to the game and we're confident.'
